⛈️ Weather Policy

A little bit of rain or wind won’t ruin our trip, but a lot of it will. The following forecast, on the day and areas of our trip, will result in cancellation:

• 0.08″ or more rain
• Winds above 20 knots coming from South or Northwest (23mph), winds above 22knots (25mph) from any other direction
• Waves over 3 feet
• At captain’s discretion for safety
• Check the weather here

Sometimes, based on the captain’s experience, if a combination of factors will make your trip unpleasant, the captain may cancel the trip at their discretion.  A full refund will be provided to weather or safety related cancellations.  If the trip gets is aborted during the tour, a full refund will be provided if less than half the tour is completed, and a 50% refund will be provided if more than half of the trip is completed.  You will receive notification via e-mail of any weather or safety related cancellations.  Please note that a drop in temperature is not grounds for cancellation, unless temperatures fall below 58 degrees.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 🐶 Children and Pets

We love children and animals!  
Children ages five and up can participate the cruises with Reflections DC and enjoy child pricing.  Children under the age of thirteen must wear a life jacket at all times.  Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their parents.  
If your party will exceed the stated capacity of the cruise but includes children, please contact us.  

Up to two leashed, potty trained dogs under 50lbs/23kgs may participate the cruises with Reflections DC.  Two dogs will incur a charge for one child, but one dog may be brought along free of charge.  All pets must have a floatation device on at all times.  We do not carry floatation devices for dogs and it is up to the owner to bring a properly fitted one for their pets.  Please be mindful of the passenger weight limits when bringing a pet.  Sorry, we do not allow cats aboard our vessels.

⏰ Cancellation Policy

All Cruises
In the case of bad weather, we will notify you at least 2 hours in advance via e-mail and text message. Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance – Full Refund
Cancellations made between 14 days and 8 days – 50% refund
8 days or less – no refund

Please e-mail or send a text message with your full name and scheduled time and date to cancel a trip.

👕 Dress Code

There is no dress code, but my guests usually dress in ‘nice’ clothes that are comfortable to move around in. We are typically barefoot or with socks only onboard, but if you would like to wear shoes on the boat, please wear footwear with soft, light colored soles. If it is under 80 degrees, please bring an extra layer. It can be cooler on the water than it is on the land.
