Washington, DC · The Yards Marina

The Potomac, Privately.

Bespoke private cruises for up to six guests aboard Geronimo, a classic Down East-style yacht — monuments at golden hour, champagne on the water, and a river all your own.

A Different Way to See Washington

Not a tour. An invitation.

Cruise The Potomac offers private, curated experiences aboard Geronimo — never a crowded deck, never a script, never anyone aboard but your party and your captain.

From our home port at The Yards Marina, the capital unfolds the way few ever see it: the Washington Monument catching the last light, the Lincoln Memorial glowing across still water, cherry blossoms drifting past the bow in spring.

Every cruise is composed around you — your occasion, your pace, your people. Intimate, refined, and quietly unforgettable.

The Vessel

Meet Geronimo

A classic Down East-style Mainship Pilot 34 — the timeless silhouette of a New England lobster yacht, refined for quiet luxury on the Potomac.

Her graceful sheer line, warm teak accents, and easy motion through the water recall an era when boats were built to be beautiful. Aboard, you'll find comfortable seating, an open cockpit made for conversation, and sightlines designed for taking in the capital from the water.

And because the U.S. Coast Guard limits us to six guests, intimacy isn't a marketing promise — it's the law of the vessel. Your party, your captain, and the river. No one else.

On the Water in the Capital

Washington, DC from the Potomac River

There is no better vantage point on Washington than the water. A private boat tour on the Potomac River carries you past the monuments without the crowds, the traffic, or the schedule of a sightseeing boat — just the capital's skyline drifting by at your own pace.

Visitors searching for Washington DC boat tours often find themselves choosing between crowded decks and rigid timetables. A private Potomac River cruise aboard Geronimo is something else entirely: a luxury boat charter for your party alone, departing from The Yards Marina in the heart of the Navy Yard waterfront.

Our DC sunset cruises are timed to the golden hour, when the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial glow against the evening sky. In spring, monument cruises pass beneath drifting cherry blossoms; in summer, the river stays cool long after the city warms.

Whether you're planning a proposal cruise, an anniversary on the water, corporate client entertainment, or simply the finest private yacht experience in Washington, DC — the river is waiting, and it's yours.
